Heidi Lowe Solo Exhibition Opening Reception October 8th, 2011, 6-9 Artists and Gallery Owner, Heidi Lowe will be debuting a new body of work. This collection is the result of receiving the 2011 DDOA Professional Artist Grant. Lowe’s work was inspired by the Biggs Museum’s Delaware Silver Collection from the 1700-1900. The event is free and will be rain or shine. “A group of business owners and local organizations got together and decided that Milton deserved a fall event to take the place of former Governor’s Day celebrations,” said co-organizer Kathryn Greig. “So, we decided to plan a fall festival featuring food, activities for kids, historical attractions, and other seasonal pastimes, which would be fun for the town and visitors. Thus, ‘Fall into Milton,’ was born!” There will be food, seasonal produce from Brittinghams, collectible Delaware items, Lavender Fields products, gourd birdhouses, vintage textiles, and other crafts for sale. Urban Studio will offer pink hair extensions in honor of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
