Milwaukee, Wisc., artist Jim Charles will display his collection, “Line,” at Heidi Lowe Gallery this weekend. The opening will be from 6-9 p.m. Sat., July 11. Charles uses 22k gold and sterling silver in repetitive patterns and invents a linkage system to create one-of-a-kind jewelry. For his rings, he forms patterns in sheets of metal and then cuts them into pieces to wrap into rings. Besides making jewelry, Charles teaches at an arts high school in Milwaukee.

Heidi Lowe Gallery will offer the unique opportunity to hand-pick stones and settings from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat. July 25. Lowe will host a diamond trunk show of Matt Galob’s dazzling precious gems for patrons interested in designing one-of-a-kind rings and other pieces of jewelry. “Imagination is the limit as this summer’s Diamond Trunk Show,” gallery owner Lowe said. “This is perfect for those who want something that they will not see in any other jewelry store. From picking the stone and cut to choosing the setting, Matt and I will be able to create perfect jewelry pieces for individual tastes.” Galob is from Dallas and specializes in fancy-cut diamonds but will display many different types.

New Miniature Works by Kim Klabe - June 13th thru July 11th.  Kim Klabe has  recently completed 100 miniature original oil on canvas works. These delightful 4" x 6" pieces feature local landscapes and a variety of other images.  Artist's reception – Sat. June 13th from 6pm to 9pm.

Friday, July 10 - “TIME RIDE”, original abstract works by New York artist, Mariah Fee.  Opening Reception 5pm to 8pm.  Show runs through July 23.

Artist Thom Millsap will be having his second one-man show at The Thunderbird Gallery July 31 and August 1. He will be painting from 2 to 4 daily and there will be an artists reception from 7 to 10 in the evening. Come see Thom's terrific original acrylic paintings. Shuttle Service between Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach will start service the first weekend in May.  The shuttle service will operate weekends in May, primarily Friday late afternoon/evenings till 2am and full schedule on Saturdays, 8am till 2am.  The shuttle will operate Daily 8am till 2am, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. This year the shuttle route rates will remain the same; the shuttle service rates have not been increased since 2002.  The Jolly Trolleys have been involved with community service since 1970. On July 21, Rehoboth Art Leagure potters will be at the Rehoboth Beach Farmers' Market from Noon to 4pm throwing pots for the Empty Bowls project. The bowls created will be sold on September 8th at the market complete with soup for $20. All proceeds will benefit the Jusst Sooup Ministry to feed the hungry.
